I'm just a poet
Stringing together words
In a way that tries to force you to feel,
To understand what I feel.
I'm just a manipulator
Gaining recognition by
Warping what you understand
Trying to change your emotions
Till they fit my own.
I'm just an instigator
Using my words
To try and lead you along a path
That was created in anger
And fueling your passion to follow it
Until you can't even remember
Why you followed this way.
I'm just an interpreter
Translating your feelings into words
While ignoring the very fact
That in doing so
I'm ruining the very thing
That made these feelings so powerful
But I don't care

The touch of your sword's curve is sweet,
How willing, I, as it pervades.
The metal cuts through dark and sweeps
With the cold its keening invades.
Full rending with each fluent stroke,
Diaphanous silk's white tempest.
In swirling vortex palest cloak,
Floating tachi shadow's clearest.
When at last the time comes untold
Will your sword lay alongside mine,
At the last when peace should enfold,
Will you join and lay yourself there,
Or, broken, will betray us, as
Century wind lays our bones bare.

“Love hurts”.
I never knew the meaning of those words.
How could something so beautiful be so curt?
Why do they say it flies away like a bird?
“Stop this nonsense”.
They never did quite understand or see.
Our love has no consequence
As I was meant for you and you for me.
“Don’t choose with your ego”.
I’m not doing this all for me or for you.
I just love his smile that always does glow,
And between us, things are never blue.
“He will break you”.
Please do not just assume that
What happened to you will happen to me too.

Hi there! I've chosen you as the 178th person for my 200 Comments Project Challenge. Basically I'm giving comments to 200 different people in a time frame within a week 
I think most of us have felt this way during a romantic break up. I think in the many fews/months following up a failed relationship you start to wonder what exactly when wrong and you start to replay what they said in your head, only to hurt yourself. But after a while it gradually starts to become more better and all that. I really like how emotional and truthful this was as a poem
